There is a multitude of trails in Old Forge that are perfect for young kids, with Bald Mountain being one of them! Young kids will enjoy finding and identifying colors. A fun project is to have them draw pictures of the colorful leaves. Ignite their imagination and encourage them to bring some fallen leaves back home to make crafts out of their colorful souvenirs.
Old Forge Camping Resort Taste of Fall Festival
September 15-16, 2017 is The Taste of Fall Festival at Old Forge Camping Resort featuring the 10th Annual Campers Cook-Off! This is a popular event with a weekend full of special vendors, crafts, and family-friendly activities including the 15th anniversary of the famous Camper’s Cook-Off. The Camper’s Cook-Off themed ingredient this year is APPLES. All entries must include the themed ingredient & must be cooked on your campsite. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place by popular vote! Not a cook? No problem! After judging, you’re welcome to sample the entries and vote for your favorite! The fall foliage should be near full-peak that weekend, so be sure to make a reservation soon!
Autumn Adventure Weekends at Old Forge Camping Resort
This is Old Forge Camping Resort’s most popular event! Face painting, tie-dye, hay rides, a pumpkin carving contest, trick-or-treating, a costume parade, and more! Cabins at the resort will be on sale for the three Autumn Adventure weekends for only $89/night for 2 people!
