- Biking - Grab your bike, a light snack, and a bottle of water, because it’s time to hit the trails! If you’re looking to get some sightseeing while biking, the TOBIE trail is a great option. This 14 mile round trip trail connects the communities of Thendara, Old Forge, Big Moose, Inlet, and Eagle Bay, making for a well rounded and adventurous ride.
- Hiking - Hiking is one of the most well-known activities the Adirondacks has to offer. With 46 beautiful high peaks, the Adirondacks is the perfect destination for hikers of all skill levels. - McCauley Mountain Scenic Chairlift - Take in all the beauty the area has to offer with a trip on the McCauley Mountain Scenic Chairlift. Enjoy the incredibly beautiful view of the historic Fulton Chain of Lakes as it stretches to the east with the line of High Peaks rising beyond. On a clear day, Whiteface Mountain and Mount Marcy are visible on the horizon. Gray Lake lies to the north between McCauley Mountain and the village of Old Forge. Riding the chairlift allows you and your family to view the mountain scenery, magnificent foliage and gorgeous views without the trouble of hiking to find the best location.

The Adirondack Canoe Classic
The Adirondack Canoe Classic, also known as the “90-miler” is an annual paddling event that takes participants from Old Forge to Saranac Lake.
