The Northern Forest Canoe Trail (NFCT) is a 740-mile water trail that starts in Old Forge NY, and ends in Fort Kent, ME. The NFCT is often considered to be the waterway relative to the Appalachian Trails, boasting an impressive 23 rivers/streams, 59 lakes and ponds, 45 communities, and 65 portages.
