If you’re looking for something off the water, McCauley Mountain’s scenic chairlift ride is a great place to start! Ride to the top to find breathtaking panoramic views of our area. Pack a lunch and enjoy some time on top of the mountain. The Old Forge area is home to some great hiking & mountain biking trails for all levels. Try horseback riding at Adirondack Saddle Tours or maybe hope on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad to see all the beauty that surrounds you from the comfort of the train car.
If you’re looking for some classic fun, take a stroll down our charming Main Street to browse through shops and grab a bite to eat at one of our restaurants. Enjoy our Farmer’s Market every Friday during the summer months or play a few games of BINGO at the Fire Department every Monday evening.

Our local arts center, View Arts has galleries & exhibits that change throughout the year – don’t miss the current exhibit when you’re in town!
