St. Patrick’s Day Parade

This year’s Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will take place down Main Street in Old Forge on Friday March 18^th at 5pm. This is an event that you won’t want to miss – it’s the most spirited (and only) Irish celebration in the central Adirondacks! Fun and creativity are central to this parade with colorful floats, costumes & other surprises!  It’s a goal every year to out-do the previous year’s parade.  The Synchronized Snowplows and Precision Shopping Carts are always fan favorites and a lot of fun! Enjoy watching some local 4-legged friends walk in the parade as part of the Old Forge Irish Setters Club.   Afterwards, come warm up at the Old Forge Fire Hall by sampling some homemade Irish stews prepared by local chefs. Stick around to cast your vote for the best Irish stew! This event is a local favorite and you won’t believe how much Irish spirit lives in Old Forge…You’ll have to come and see for yourself on the 18^th!
