Fall is a beautiful time to be in the Adirondacks – there’s so much going on and the views & scenery are second to none. The first Saturday in October (10/4) is the Falling Leaves Craft Fair on Park Avenue in Old Forge. Come browse through unique hand-made items crafted by local artists. View will begin their fall Quilts Unlimited Exhibit – this unique spread features quilts and patchwork from all over the country. Whether you like to run, walk or cheer from the sidelines, you’re not going to want to miss Running Colors 5K put on by View Arts. This is the most colorful road race in the Adirondacks – runners & walkers get doused with colorful powder as they run by! This event is a blast whether you’re participating or throwing color from the side! During this same weekend, you can enjoy a trip to Wally’s Pumpkin patch via the Adirondack Railroad Pumpkin Train! Dress up in your costume and get yourself in the Halloween spirit! Finish out our October events with Pumpkin Fest which takes place on 10/25. This event is sponsored by the Central Adirondack Association and will feature pumpkin carving, face painting, hayrides & more! There’s no better place to get yourselves in the fall spirit than Old Forge. Grab the gang and head up for a day trip or make it a weekend getaway! See you in Old Forge!
