Think snow, it’s that time of year again…SNOWMOBILE SEASON and we can’t wait for the first snowfall! The American Snowmobiler Dynotech Research Shoot Out will take place on Friday, December 11 at the Ole Barn in Inlet, NY. Gates open at 8am and racing will run from 11am – 3pm. The event is hosting four snowmobile manufacturers: Artic Cat, Skidoo, Yamaha and Polaris as well as performance shop modified runs and trail rider runs. The Shoot Out is kicking off the 39th Annual Snodeo snowmobile event which will be held at the Hiltebrant Recreation Center Pavilion on North Street in Old Forge. Snodeo is a three day event, December 11 – 13! This is your first chance to view and compare the 2016 sleds!Friday the event will be 3-6pm. 9am, Saturday morning the Vintage Snowmobile Show & Swamp Meet will be held, there will be awards in 17 different categories. Registration is $5 per sled, 3 or more $15. Don’t forget to bring your children and their sleds! The Youth Snowmobile Races will begin at noon, registration starts at 11am. Make sure the kids have their wish list ready for the holidays. After their awards, from 1-4pm Santa and & Mrs. Claus will be waiting to take pictures! Once the Claus’ head back to the North Pole it will be just in time for the 5pm fireworks. Even though the day has come to an end, Snodeo still has another full day of fun. Sunday from 10am-2pm, the final day of Snodeo, you will have a chance to walk home with cash prizes, or a new 2015 snowmobile of your choice. Happy Riding!
